Aseel was accepted to study Computer Sciences at the American University in Jenin.

A very talented young woman, she achieved marks of 90 in all subjects against a class average of 70!

Aseel wrote this letter in February 2025:

Dear Jeel Scholarship Fund Supporters,

My name is Aseel, and I am a second-year Computer Engineering student at Birzeit University. I am honoured to have this opportunity to share a glimpse of my academic journey and daily life with you, as one of the students proudly supported by your generous scholarship.

Pursuing Computer Engineering is both challenging and rewarding. My studies involve demanding courses such as Circuits and Digital Logic, which require extensive focus and dedication. In addition to my core subjects, I’ve taken programming courses at the university, including C and Java. Driven by my passion for programming, I have also taught myself C++, Python, and Algorithms independently. Currently, I am self-studying Data Structures to prepare myself before officially taking the course at the university. My daily routine mostly revolves around university activities—attending lectures, studying, and spending time with friends to recharge.

However, I dedicate most of my weekends to studying, as I use that time to review and catch up on the material covered throughout the week. I am deeply grateful for the Jeel Scholarship Fund and your continuous support. Your generosity has provided me with the opportunity to focus on my academic goals without the added financial burden. I am committed to making the most of this scholarship and ensuring that I meet—and even exceed—your expectations. So far, I have maintained excellent grades, and I strive to continue this academic success throughout my journey.
